Emergency Works for Sliabh an Iarainn GWS

Glan Agua Ltd complete emergency works to Sliabh an Iarann GWS in Leitrim.

Glan Agua undertook emergency works on the 4th and 5th of June over a 36 hour continuous period to ensure that raw water could be provided into the network for the amalgamated Sliabh an Iarann Group Water Supply Scheme. The works involved installation of a new borehole pump, power generation, control panels, valves, pressure reduction, and associated civil engineering works so that water could be provided over the bank holiday weekend. The interim solution has been maintained and is being monitored by Glan Agua in partnership with local GWS personnel.

The water shortage crisis was averted and the situation was highlighted in the local media (http://www.shannonside.ie/news-details.php?nid=5484). Glan Agua Ltd are endeavoring to fast-track the design and build element of the works at Sliabh an Iarann GWS in order to ensure that clean drinking water can be provided at the earliest possible time. Glan Agua Ltd would like to thank the cooperation of key sub-contractors and members of the local Group Water Scheme during the completion of the emergency works.
