Glan Agua participate in the Green Schools Initiative
Added February 16, 2016
Glan Agua have welcomed a number of national schools to our operational Water Treatment Plants in Galway and Roscommon as part of the Green Schools initiative.
Dr John Fox showed the students around the plants and explained how the water is treated before it reaches their school and homes.
Our Proposals Manager, John Mulcahy visited St. Joseph’s National School in Dunderry, Co. Meath in December. This involved two presentations to the Junior and Senior classes. The presentations outlined the water cycle and went into detail on water and wastewater treatment.
The visit was organised to aid in the school achieving their water flag.
The presentation involved a 3D walk through video of a Glan Agua designed Water Treatment Plant so the students could gain knowledge of the water treatment process.
Well done to all the students who participated and thank you to the Teachers for organising these events.
